International Activities
The Portuguese Bank Training Institute's international activities in its two main geographical areas of intervention, Eastern Europe and the Portuguese-speaking African countries. has taken the main forms identified bellow:
 
  • Projects to set up the structures needed for distance learning bank management courses (Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Estonia) funded by PHARE
 
  • Seminars tailor-made to the need of the target banks, also part of the EU PHARE initiative
 
  • Classroom bank training for middle management with programmes tailor-made to the needs of its target banks (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Vert and Guiné-Bissau)
 
  • Start-up / Build-up of all the local structures of the Bank Training Institutes (Angola and Mozambique)
 
  • Acting as facilitators of synergy between banking sectors
